Here’s what you will find:

A huge variety of unusual heirloom perennials, rhododendrons, native plants, veggies & herbs along with the best tomato choices around. These plants are known to grow well in our PNW climate.
Best of all, have a gardening question? Ask a Master Gardener. Get free and expert plant shopping advice.

Shop early on Friday, May 4, 4:00PM-8:00PM. Saturday shop all day, 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
Free parking nearby BUT please do NOT park in the neighborhood adjacent to CUH. Help us to be good neighbors.

Plan to Party

Plan to attend the Private Garden Gala Fundraiser Party on Friday, May 4 starting at 5:30PM-8PM. Support King County Master Gardeners by buying a ticket to party and shop. Tickets for sale here online in March.

What you’ll enjoy at this year’s party:

  • Hors d’ouvres, wine, beer
  • Music provided by Kaffeine, local jazz ensemble
  • Door prizes
  • Select plants available for party guests only
  • Guest appearance by Ciscoe Morris

Proceeds from the Party and the sale support all Master Gardener activities in King County, 35 plant clinics and 14 gardens for public education about sustainable, science-based gardening practices.

What do you want to know? Here are some tips for shopping:

  • Wagons will be available to gather your plants
  • Maps available at entry so you can locate your area of interest or favorite vendor
  • Holding zone so you can continue to shop
  • Loading Zone and Pick Up area available
  • Nearby free parking
  • Accessibility: easy access to vendors
  • Bathrooms available onsite in NHS hall
  • Directions: via car or arrive by bus (Routes 65, 67, 75 and 78 stops nearby)

About the Sale

Plants on Sale. This year we are helping you to find plants and plant combinations to fit your small space. Look for special displays in every department, and feel free to ask for help with your special space.

You are sure to find a huge selection of plants:Gardening Big in Small Spaces over 75 varieties of veggie starts, herbs and tomatoes +155 perennials and grasses, and natives and ornamental shrubs and trees. View the catalogue of edibles and seeds for sale. For the early starters, think of the tomato plants tomatoes . Plan to Ask a Master Gardener how you might create a mix of edibles for container plantings, which ones are best for patios, and to answer any other questions about plants as you browse.

If you are interested in garden plants other than veggies, then this is the sale for you. Master Gardeners have been propagating and potting plants since last fall to ensure that you have a huge selection of perennials, ornamental plants including trees and shrubs, and natives.
Great Plant Picks
Great Plant Picks is joining us this year. Be sure to stop at their booth to pick up a poster, ask about their suggestions for your garden space. Great ideas for any Pacific northwest garden can be found at the sale.

A number of local VENDORS will join this sale to provide their own specialty products including unusual plants and garden display items that will provide the perfect focal point for your garden. Watch for a list of vendors so that you can plan your shopping. Look for the sale map available from our Master Gardener greeters.

Questions about Plants? The Master Gardeners will have their own booth and the MG Diagnosticians will be on hand to answer your plant questions. Bring your ideas and questions and get more design ideas as you wander the sale.


The Plant Sale is a tradition for the King County Master Gardeners, who are celebrating the 45th anniversary of the WSU Master Gardener Program. Proceeds from the CUH Master Gardener Plant Sale and the Garden Gala go to the Master Gardener Foundation of King County and its support for the 35 Master Gardener clinics and 14 Master Gardener demonstration gardens throughout the county. Help support research-based horticultural education for King County residents offered for free by Master Gardeners.
